Signatures Sapphire Floral & Butterfly Necklace

A necklace from John Apel's Signatures Collection — three flowers and four butterflies hand-built in 18kt yellow gold, set with 0.24ct of diamonds and accented with blue, pink, and yellow sapphires. The sapphires sit at the center of each flower and butterfly, scaled so the wing or petal does most of the visual work.

The gold is the body of the piece. Each flower and butterfly is sculpted individually, then set onto the chain so the necklace reads as a small natural scene rather than a string of identical motifs. The sapphire colors echo a garden in mid-bloom.

A focal piece for the Signatures Collection — wears solo as a story, or pairs with simpler Signatures chains for a layered look.
